Regions Hospital is Hiring a Billing Supervisor Near Paul, MN

Regions Hospital is seeking a Billing Supervisor to provide work direction, prioritize workflow, facilitate training and education, and monitor the quality of work for billing staff in Patient Accounting. This role works closely with individual team members, team leaders, managers, contracted vendors, and the department director to interpret insurance coverage benefits through contract language, evaluate remittances to ensure correct reimbursement, identify problems, recognize symptoms, and provide solutions to complex billing issues.

The Billing Supervisor also develops and updates department policies and procedures, establishes goals and objectives, sets standards, and monitors statistical/financial reports to enhance revenue and lower days in accounts receivable. This role also hires staff, maintains attendance records, evaluates employee performances, and recommends disciplinary action as needed.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, day shift

Required Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience in healthcare billing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of insurance payer rules and regulations.

Additional Information:

This is a non-union 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) day shift position. The full salary range for this position is $58,864-$88,296 annually, based on experience and internal equity. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and eligible for benefits. Our benefits include medical and dental insurance (which begin on day one of employment), 401k with match, disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, educational reimbursement toward continuing education, and we are a qualified non-profit employer under the federal .
